I am so proud of Lori Leslie and Lacie they finished the Icebreaker triathlon on Saturday! They all did so well. Lacie would have place in her age group but they made her take a 2 mile detour on her bike because a girl was hit by a car. So she was 4 sec. off. Dang it. Well I guess that leaves room for NEXT time. The girl is fine by the way.

I have B negative blood so I have to have a shot for the RH factor! Unless.... Chad's blood is also neg. so he had to go give blood today. So they could tell him what his blood type was. He has never given blood before and is a wittle scared to do so. So he wanted me to go with him and I so badly wanted to but... I had to work. So he had to go all ALONE.( or so I thought) Any way my mom was in charge of the blood drive so she was there with him but when he came in to the church he had a little buddy with him! His sick kick brother Jeff. hahaha Thanks Jeff for the support and to top it all off Jeff even gave blood too.

It is Saturday and Chad and i worked with my Dad all day on putting up a new fence for the horses. It was such hard work pulling out the old fence post then putting in new steal post, I was so worn out at about 2:30 but not Dad he just kept going I don't know how he does that?

Today I had my doctors apt. were we got to hear the heart beat. it was fun but most people's doctors let them find out what they are having by now but not me. The baby is fine and has a strong heart beat to I am happy. My next apt. they are going to let me know what I am having so that will be fun. So by Feb. 1 ( my next apt.) AARON GARRETT
AAaron Dakota Garrett 1981 ~ 2010 Aaron Dakota Garrett, Navajo name Haashk'e Iini Yedilwo'ii,(Warrior Who Runs With Lightning), was born Nov. 1, 1981 in Orem, Ut, died July 24, 2010, in Alpine, Ut. Aaron grew up in Alpine, graduated from Lone Peak High School in 2000, where he excelled academically and in sports, particularly baseball and football. As a youngster he played on the Alpine Little League All-Star team, which went on to win the WBBA Little League World Series. From his freshman through senior years, Aaron played short stop and second base for the Lone Peak High baseball team, highlighted by a successful run to the state championship in 2000. He was named Most Valuable Player of the state All-Star baseball team. A natural and gifted athlete, Aaron also played high-school football with talent enough to win a football scholarship to Virginia University. From 2001-2003, Aaron served honorably in the Ghana Accra Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He developed a deep love and compassion for the African people, learning to speak in the Ghanaian dialect Twi ("chwee"). It was always his dream to return there one day. When it came time to return home, Aaron tried to discreetly bring his pet monkey back with him, but of course, was soon found out. For a time, Aaron's wanderlust took him to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he was a jet-ski and diving tour guide. He loved to read -- favorite books were The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series. And, although he didn't want to admit it, he also was hooked on the Twilight series and OC. Other interests included writing poetry, playing and writing music (he played both piano and guitar), art, and photography. He also could swing a mean golf club. To Aaron, family was everything, and he loved them truly and unconditionally. His most prized possession was his rambunctious little 4-year-old son, Jaden. They often went camping together, rode horses, played in the park, sat around a campfire and laughed until they had to catch their breaths. Aaron took great pride in his Native American culture and heritage. His Navajo clan was Ta'baaha (Edgewater) and his maternal grandfather's clan was Lo'K'aah Dine (Reed People). He was passionate about learning the culture's stories, skills, ceremonies and arts, and incorporating them into his life. He learned to make knives, jewelry and leather crafts. A favorite pastime was to build a fire outside and listen to stories of the Navajo people. He also was an accomplished Native American dancer and performed locally and internationally with his mother, uncle and siblings. He participated in sweat lodges and sang Sundance songs with his brothers and uncles. Besides his son, Jaden Winter, Aaron is survived by his parents; Ray and Milli Cody Garrett, brothers; Jathan Cody (Marianne) Garrett and Kotah Ray Garrett, sisters; Meagan Garrett (Ty) Welch and Tessie Marie Garrett. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bank of American Fork in the name of Aaron Garrett, for a special fund on behalf of his son, Jaden. Poor chad! We went mt. biking on Friday morning and we made it all the way up the mt. then all the way down into sliding rock. At the very bottom chad was going down a very steep part of the hill and at the bottom there was a sharp turn that was all sandy. Chad was not going to fast to make the turn but the sand just made his front tire sink and he got thrown to the ground. By the time I got to him he was sitting holding his arm that was shaking really bad. I asked if it was broken and he said I think so. So we waited all day to see if the paid would subside but it did not. So we went to the doctors office and they told us that he broke the bone that holds his thumb on. the problem with that is it does not get very much blood to it, and if it does not get enough blood it will turn black and die and he will loose all movement in his thumb. So of course he is a little sad about not being able to play the guitar. We see the specialist on Thursday to see what he says. Hopefully no surgery is required.

So today is Saturday and I usually work on Saturdays but I have recently decided to not work 6 days a week. So yesterday I went to a training camp (kinda) it was just a class I am in, and they decided to do a 1/2 Ironman. So I woke up at 4:30 am and got out to Utah lake in Provo by 5:30 We swam about 1 and 1/2 miles. Then changed out of our wet suits and off on our bikes we went. I felt great for the first 40 miles or so. I was in the lead with a buddy of mine Russ. ( Russ used to be a bike racer so i feel great biking by him.) Russ is so inspiring he is such a strong biker! Then aways after the turn around the wind picked up right to my face I had to slow down a bit and Russ left me in the dust. I then realized I had not eaten anything but a protein powder hours prior to this point NOT smart Lindsey. My stomach felt sick but I only had 20 miles left on the bike and 13.1 miles left on the run. So i sucked it up and just kept biking. I looked up after a minute of barring down and a COW was in the middle of the road I could still see Russ ahead and the cow did not seam to care that he had pasted to I thought i would be ok. And still i am a thinking oh I will be okay I grew up around cattle my hole life I will just whistle and the will back off. Ya so when I did that out came that Heifers Calf.! and that calf thought i was chasing her! so off she ran and me right behind her... after all I had to stay on the road that she was running down and I could not just stop becuase her mom was right behind me! So picture this little tinny country road two pastures on both sides with fences one little baby calf running down the middle of the road, then little old me, then BIG momma cow chasing me! ya it was hilarious... after the fact that I was safe. All that was going though my head was ok if she catches me I am clipped in. She is going to tip me over then not only trample me but ruin my brand new carbon bike in the process. Any way I got away sare and sound.

So by the time I got lost, added a couple of miles on to my bike, run a tinny bit It was too late to finish all 13.1 miles so I had to leave early to get to work by 11:00 am. I got home at 10:45am and was only 2 min. late for work. Who says girls cant get ready Fast?

Then off to work I was for a 8 1/2 hrs Day at the salon.

Then today I was out on the lawn preparing my Sunday school lesson and a mom dear with her baby walked right up to me. It was way cool. God creates such amazing things doesn't he. To see things so close up, it is just amazing.

So if you have not heard of the RAGNAR it is 188 mile that goes from Logan to Park City. You get to choose your team of 12 people and you all have 3 legs to run. You only get Friday and Saturday to finish it all so there is NO sleep involved. Well the chatfield fam got together and decide hey we have 6 girls and all of us are married so lets do it. So off we went. We had a couple of injuries so mom was going to do it with us but then she had a hurt leg. then Lacie got pregnant so... It was Lori, Lisa, Leslie, Lindsey,Libbey, Trey , James, Casey, Cody, Danny, Dave and Brezzy. We had a blast. I only have pictures of one van so you will only see half of us sorry.

Today was a sad day for me I got home and chad I were helping my Dad tie down the tarps on the hay. We got done and Dad says I had a bad day today we should go to dinner! I asked why the day was so bad and he told me he had to put our Dog ( sporty ) down. :( He had broken his hip and lost sight in one eye. Well he is better off now. bye bye sporty.

Last night I got home from work so worn out! I thought I was going to come home and watch T.V. then I remebered we don't have T.V. any more DANG IT. So I went shopping with some friends then I remebered I don't like shopping haha. So as I got home Lacie called and asked if I could come over and help get a sliver out of Saige's hand? I said yes and brought chad along for support thinking I would not really need him. So we grabed a treat and tweezers. When we got to Lacie's and looked at Saige's hand it was the length of her palm!!!! WOW it was heart renching. I made her take a picture so I will post it when I get it. So chad sanitized a razor blade and had to cut all the way down the sliver! poor little saiger. then I tryied to pull it out and it still would not come it took 3 pulles to get it out. What a tuff little girl. ( WE saved the stick.(sliver)

Well I just learned how to get rid of my music so finally releif from Annie.
Well last week Sue Taylor passed away. It was quite a struggle for me, kinda silly since I was not family to her, but I saw her every week some times twice a week for the last couple of year! She was allways happy and so talkative. She would come it and I would ask so Sue hows the day to day? Oh good. What do you have going on today Sue? she would reaply differantly depending on the day but allways positive!~ She would remeber big things in my life and truely cared for me as a person. (She saw people!) In the salon we HATE when people "no show" on their appointemnts but sue could sometimes make two appt. in one day and still miss both of them then show up and hr late for the third. :) but we would never let her leave us we all loved her she was stuck with us. Maybe she was trying to get rid of me? haha. I am so happy for you and your new adventure, I know you will always look after all of us.
